Bloodroot wines
Conceived by Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines, BloodRoot the name connotes “life from death” as the “blood” of the vines is nourished by the “roots” and terroir that surround each plant, and how truly special this cycle is.
Noah and head winemaker Katy Wilson are adept at making very serious wines that garner all the accolades. One of the challenges they actively seek out is making serious wines at value-based prices. BloodRoot allows for this constant questioning, seeking, pushing, and experimentation that only a place like California can embrace. They love to make wines that blow your mind for the price, and varieties you’ve never imagined tasting.
We also value the process in giving back to our community in every way possible. We are a member of 1% for the Planet and throw an annual music festival, The Ramble, to raise money for GIFFORDS supporting gun violence prevention.

OUR OTHER PROJECTS
Our niece Evelyn Dieckhaus is a light catcher. She died at the age of nine in a school shooting in Nashville on March 27, 2023. With her spirit and strength, we will firmly focus on the promotion of, education of, and passing of bipartisan common sense gun laws that will protect our children.

WINE COUNTRY UNITES
Wine Country Unites is the first step on this journey. For the last two years, we have enlisted an incredible group of friends—wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, wine shops and distributors—to do what they can to raise money and awareness on this day to support gun reform in honor of Evelyn Dieckhaus.
Most participants donated $10 of every bottle of wine sold on that day to Everytown, the largest gun violence prevention organization in America. Others have their own format to raise money. It makes a difference.
Remy Saves the Sea is made by 13-year-old surfer and nature-loving Remy, with her dad, Noah Dorrance. Our goal is to raise both money and awareness for issues surrounding the health of our oceans and thus our planet as a whole. We are proud to have recently 1% For the Planet to help fund this work. Our beneficiary is The 5 Gyres Institute.

THE RAMBLE
BloodRoot Wines presents The Ramble, our homegrown music and wine festival in Healdsburg, California. Music has long been an equal passion to wine for us. As a small but mighty family-run business, we thoroughly enjoy being creative and bringing joy and connection in all ways we can—hence a multi-day music event built from the ground up for our community.
All proceeds from the entire weekend will go to helping fight gun violence, through our partnership with GIFFORDS, in honor of our niece, Evelyn. GIFFORDS is an organization dedicated to saving lives from gun violence. Together we inspire the courage of people from all walks of life to make America safer.
Last year featured Lord Huron, Andrew Bird, Cautious Clay, The Nude Party and others. If you were there, you know what a special and intimate event this is.
